Cysteine Amino Acid. It does not contain Formaldehyde nor any Formaldehyde derivatives or gasses.

NO, its is a protein base treatment that does not contain any harsh or permanent chemicals. The SS does not broke nor rearrange the bonds in the hair unlike chemical based products. 

How does SS differ from Relaxers?

How does SS differ from Relaxers?

SS is neither a relaxer system nor a keratin system. Does not break the disulfide bonds like relaxers and has no risk in over processing the hair. It is a amino acid base system that tames, smoothes, strengthens, elongates curls for lasting yet non-permanent effects (up to 12 weeks).

SS is formulated with a unique anti-reversion process that helps lock out humidity and other reversion agents, providing maximum reversion resistance, significantly reduced root-to-tip swelling and up to 12 weeks. 

*NOTE: It does not keep your hair straight.

SS is gentle enough to be used on a child without damage or harm to the child or her hair. Consideration should be given to the child’s ability to sit still during the treatment process.

Color can be used before or after the use of SS. Color should be applied at least one week prior to receiving the SS or at least two weeks after receiving the treatment. 

*NOTE: When coloring before the use of the SS, it may be necessary to formulate one to two shades darker as the system may lighten the color by one to two shades.

FLAT IRON FAQ'S

WHAT STYLIST ARE SAYING . . .

Many stylists agree that the most important key in making sure that hair is properly prepped and protected ,and keeping the flat iron heat to 350 to 400 degrees max. 

(depends on hair integrity, color, density & texture)

CERAMIC IRON

Ceramic - It is a non-metallic, inorganic material that produces negative ions.  

Ceramic hair straighteners are fantastic for smoothing and reducing frizz. Ceramic plates heat the hair from the inside out, while titanium heats from the surface of the hair shaft. 


Ceramic holds heat well and can achieve high temperatures and distribute heat without damaging your locks.

The tool smooth cuticles, you need half of the straightening time and will get twice as much smooth in your hair.

TITANIUM IRON

Titanium - tools will heat up in a hurry and help your coarse, thick hair stay under control. Material is much hotter with most others.


Titanium tools offer silky and shiny hair. The lighter touch feels better while you do it, and this is great for stubborn, coarse, and thick hair.


IF not used properly, they can cause serious damage to the hair.


TOURMALINE IRON

Tourmaline - This precious-gemstone can produce six times more negative ions than ceramic. 


if you want to use the device daily and you have normal to coarse hair, this will be the perfect one for you! 


Use caution and heat protective recommended by your stylist according to your hair texture.  

GERMANIUM IRON

Germanium - A straightener that harnesses the conductive energy of germanium plates to deliver high-precision temperature control for ultra-smooth, frizz-free results.

RECOMMENDED TEMPERATURES FOR MOST FLAT IRONS

BY HAIR TYPE:


  • Fine, thin:      below 360°f/182°c
  • Normal, medium, wavy:      360°f/182°c - 380°f/192°c
  • Thick, coarse, curly:      380°f/193°c - 450°f/232°c
